BLOCKING
The reactivation by moisture of the binder in the medium on a support which causes it to stick to anything brought into contact with it, such as a facing page in a manuscript. # The image shows the effect of blocking, after the two pages that stuck together were loosened: the transfer of pigments and paper fibres to the opposite paper surface.
