VERSO

The side of a single sheet manuscript (kıt’a, hilye, berat, ferman or levha) which is the obverse of the recto
# In a manuscript codex, 'side b' is commonly used instead of verso (and 'a' instead of recto), contrary to western practice where recto and verso is used and 'a' and 'b' is uncommon; note that because of the opposite reading direction in western manuscripts the verso is the page on the left side of the spine-fold.
